Pictures Of A Father Riding A Crocodile To His Babies In The Indian River

A Wildlife Photographer In A Wildlife Sanctuary In India Was Able To Capture The Scene Of A Father Crocodile Riding More Than 100 Of His Babies On His Back.

Dritman Mukherjee is a wildlife photographer who is always on the lookout for endangered wildlife scenes that have never been seen before.

His goal was achieved when he was confronted with the unusual sight of a slender snout crocodile (a native Indian crocodile) guarding a large group of its young. Mukherjee says:

First of all, I emphasize that I am not an artist. The artist works on wildlife to fulfill an artistic ambition or artistic goal, But I use it to achieve my scientific goal of conservation.

The photographer, who has worked in the field for 25 years and usually spends 300 days a year, traveled to the National Chamb Sanctuary in India to find the Gangi snout crocodile.

The mission was for Mukherjee to capture images of the highly endangered Grail, most of which are concentrated in the Chambal River. Mukherjee had been patrolling for weeks when he came across the scene one morning.

He says the opportunity for photography was not the result of mere luck but because of his excellent communication with experts.

IT was not my first trip to that area, but I had been to it several times. I have an excellent local network. I constantly receive information from locals, scientists, naturalists, and forest officials.

This gorilla was an adult male known to forest officials who were mated with 7-8 females. The kids you see behind him are mating with several females.

Crocodiles carry their babies in their mouths, but their snout has a very narrow bill that makes this impossible; Therefore, children should cling to the parent’s head and back to protect and maintain a close relationship with him.

Mukherjee is happy that the photo of Grail’s father doing his father’s duty of caring for the family has created an emotional connection with the viewers.

He believes that exposure to the public and their support is necessary to restore an endangered species.
