Introduction of Premiere software

Adobe Premiere is one of the Adobe software that is used for editing or in other words to make edits on various movies. Adobe Premiere can be installed, run, and used on both Mac and Windows operating systems.

Premiere can edit various videos, teasers, TV movies as well as online videos. Although Premiere itself is a versatile software with a lot of features. Because it is part of Adobe Creative Cloud software. It can be used alongside other professional software such as Photoshop and After Effects.

What is Premiere?

If you are an old Adobe user, you probably know very well what the CC suffix at the end of the name of some of the company’s software indicates. The software is a member of the Adobe Creative Cloud software suite.

This means that this software provides a special Creative Cloud subscription for its user. By purchasing this subscription, the user, in addition to being able to connect between different Creative Cloud member software and use them all in one project, is also able to purchase various tools and images available in the Adobe Store.

Until 2013, Adobe Premiere was not a member of Creative Cloud, so at the end of the software’s name, the CS suffix was instead of the CC suffix. It indicates that the software is a member of the Creative Suit.

From that year on, Adobe moved the software to the CC suite and no longer supported the CS version. Although many people still use the CS version, their range of use, in this case, is very limited. There is no update or support for the version used by them.

The Adobe Premiere CC comes with a new update every 12 to 18 months. Of course, these updates are sometimes very invisible and intangible. So that a user of Premiere software may not notice the difference between the 2017 version and the 2018 version of this software.

Application of Premiere software

Premiere can be for all the edits you want to make on a video to have the necessary quality for playback and display. In this program, you can either import a video, audio file, graphic image, and the like, and make edits on it, or you can open a new document from scratch and create a Pay for video, audio, and more.

In Premiere software, a large number of video or audio or video files can be next to each other and merged. There is also the ability to add text, various image effects, and thousands of other changes to all these files in the Premiere software.

Who uses it?

Video and teaser companies, news sites, marketing specialists, and graphic design companies are among the users of Premiere software.

Also, people like video editors, production and product managers, online course instructors, marketing managers, and media designers are among the people who use Premiere software individually to do projects such as producing video content.

History of the software

What we use today as Adobe Premiere Pro CC is an extended version of a simple program that came in 1991. This software has been one of the computer programs under nonlinear editing systems.

The name we know today. It came in 2003 and has since been for all updated versions of the software.

Each released version of the software included changes to its structure, some of which are as follows:

Premiere Pro 1.5

It was the version that came after the first PPro and in addition to adding very few auxiliary options. The bugs or the same as the previous version were fixed.

Premiere Pro 2

It had more obvious changes than the previous version, the Pro 1.5. A new workspace with a new look, new features, and functions, as well as optimizing the ability of this software to work with other Adobe software, were among the things that this update brought with it. Features such as multi-camera editing, DVD recording, fast GPU processing, and HD / HDV support were all introduced at the same time as the unveiling.

Premiere Pro CS 3

It came in 2007. One of the most obvious features that this version brought with it was the ability to rebuild time. Another thing about this version was the introduction of Mac system support for this software.

Premiere Pro CS 4

It came in October 2008, making things easier and faster. It also increased the number of readable file formats in the software.

Premiere CS 5

It came in April 2010. In this version, Mercury Playback Engine was the most obvious and important feature added to this software. With the help of this tool, outputting projects from Premiere software became much easier and faster. Other changes in this version include optimization and troubleshooting of tools and features of the previous version.

Premiere Pro CS 6

It came in May 2012. This version made many visual changes to the software workspace. Optimizations included layer settings, a rolling shutter repair effect, three different color correction methods, a new browser, and more. Also that year, users knew three concepts of Adobe Prelude, SpeedGrade, and Adobe Creative Cloud.

This was the last year that Premiere came on the market as a non-subscription software and as a so-called single-software, because since that year. It has joined the Creative Cloud collection forever.

Premiere Pro CC

Finally, Premiere Pro CC came in 2013. This version was a significant improvement over previous versions. Link & Locate capabilities, the ability to change and design TimeLine by the user, capabilities related to merging audio files, Lumetri Deep Color Engine, the ability to edit multiple cameras, the ability to use Primer with Photoshop, After Effects and other CC software, and much more Such cases were all innovations of the version released in 2013.

Changes and updates continued, in the same way, every 12 to 18 months after the first Premiere CC came in 2013. For example, in 2015, 2017, and 2018, each separately, we saw new updates, including the emergence and introduction of new features and tools in Premiere.

So much so that in 2018, the Premiere Pro CC 12, a new feature came to Adobe Premiere to provide motion graphics patterns. Previously, a Premiere user must have used Aftereffect software in their project to access this feature, but from 2018 onwards, there was no need to use Aftereffect with Premiere to access motion graphics features.

Familiarity with the limitations of the software

One of the limitations of this software is related to the dimensions of the images and videos that you intend to import into the software. As such, you should know that the maximum allowable frame size of an image or video that you intend to open in Premiere is 256 megapixels.
