Meet Eric Kogan, A New York Street Photographer Who Has A Knack For Finding Interesting Situations For Photography On The Sidewalks And Enjoy Seeing These Creative Images.

Sidewalks of New York, Eric Kogan is a New York-based street photographer keen eye for clever and humorous compositions when everyday objects are put together in unexpected ways.

Kogan was born in 1985 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He first got acquainted with photography when he took charge of film processing in a photography workshop in his early teens.

However, the emergence of his talent and creativity began to show in 2004 in college after taking a fine art photography course.

These days Kogan’s main job is event planning. Next to this job photography is his second favorite job.

Coogan says of his career:

This industry doesn’t have specific hours and is more of a lifestyle that gives me a lot of space for street photography. Most photos are taken while going to meetings, commuting to different locations, and walking around other areas looking for flowers, fabrics, and props to match the events.

Koogan has spent over a decade collecting weird and wonderful moments with the camera, resulting in an inspiring collection of quirky yet spectacular street photography.

The Covid-19 pandemic accelerated his work by giving Kogan more time to devote to his photography and broadened his horizons regarding the places he roamed.

The creative photographer says he was drawn to the most desolate places, not because they were socially remote, but because they were the scene for some of the most random urban locations.

When walking to photograph, I like to only move in one direction and not turn until I have another street to follow.
