The custom Xiaomi Android (MIUI) skin offers several valuable features for devices with large screens. MIUI on the tablet provides a set of helpful features, including the ability to open multiple apps in floating windows, support for split-screen capability, and the like. However, there is still a long way to go before this interface is complete.
According to xda-developers, Xiaomi has identified these shortcomings and is working on adding a set of new features to MIUI that will provide users with a better experience on tablets and clamshells.
One of the most trusted revelators in the tech world has discovered some of the changes that will make to the latest beta version of MIUI 13, and sharing them gives us a clearer idea of the future of MIUI tablets and clamshell phones.
The latest beta version of MIUI 13 for China has two new menu items labeled Features for the big screen and tablet features in the device settings. These new options will only appear if the device in question is a “zizhan” (Xiaomi Future Folding Device) or a “dagu” (Xiaomi Future Tablet).
As you can see in the attached screenshots, the “Features for big-screen” screen has various options, from new wallpapers for clamshells, app display mode settings, game customization, and new keypad options popup settings, and popup settings. Open or close the pointed device.
The “Features for tablets” page, on the other hand, includes additional features such as “App View Mode” customization, MIUI + Beta option, keyboard customization for tablets, and floating window settings. Many of the listed components are not available in the current beta version.

While we do not have access to similar images for other new options, we have information about them thanks to several new code strings. The codes show that the “Keep page on after folding” setting provides users with exciting options.
These options include preventing the device from locking when folded and keeping the external display on when calling or working with the camera.
In addition, strings of code about the new “Games” option have been discovered on the “Features for big-screen” page, indicating that users will be given access to several new possibilities for how games are displayed.
People who use the device will be able to restrict the game window to a specific part of the screen or run it on full screen. This option will probably allow users to move the game window around and align it with the screen’s top, bottom, or sides.
