3. Enter the desired text that you want to use as a watermark in the text field. Change Language, Font, Size, ‌Color, and Orientation settings as desired. If you are looking for a lighter shade of text, select the Semi-transparent field; Otherwise, deselect it.

4. Click Apply and Ok when done.

4. You can also change the appearance of the watermark. Scale is set automatically and by default, But you can use the drop-down menu to enter a certain percentage.

5. The Washout option displays the watermark on the screen. You can disable this option to display the actual image.

Watermark selection and customization

Adding text or images is not the only way to customize a watermark. Watermark prototypes are usually light gray, But in Word, you can manually change the appearance of the watermark by changing its color (Color) and size (Size) and position on the page (Position).
