It is possible to create a subdomain in the host.

Let’s first explain what a subdomain is? As mentioned above, in fact, the subdomain is an arbitrary name that is written with a dot before the main domain of the site. Be careful that the subdomain’s name must be close to the content you want, for example, for the knowledge base or blog section. Using words like blog or knowledge base or words like store are used for the store section. Finally, after defining the subdomain in the direct host admin, it is time to upload the desired content, which we will explain in detail below. Creating a subdomain is very simple, but be careful. First, check that the half-host servers are set and published on the main domain for which you intend to create a subdomain. Then proceed from the Subdomain Management section of Direct Admin, which will be explained in detail below.

In creating a subdomain, we don’t need to set half-host servers, but it is enough to set and publish a half-server on the main domain.

The subdomain you defined will be added to the list, and a directory with the same name will be created in the host’s file manager. The information about the subdomain, including the template or anything, should be uploaded to this directory.

Note: If you want to delete the subdomain, select the check box on the left side of the subdomain on the top page and click the Delete Selected button. By doing this, only the subdomain will be removed from the list, but its main directory is still available in the file manager.

Up to this point, you have defined only the subdomain, and the steps are not finished. In the next step, a directory with the name of the subdomain you defined will be created in the File Manager section of the Direct Admin host.

What is the difference between subdomain and subfolder?

Do many users ask what the technical difference between subdomain and subfolder is? Be careful. By creating a subdomain and working on it, no SEO points will be noticed on the main domain, and it is only possible that the Alexa rank will change, and your input will increase. In fact, from the point of view of Google and search engines, the subdomain and the main domain are completely separate websites. That’s why blogging systems use this style. But the nature of the subfolder is exactly the opposite. In the picture below, you can see the same type of subdomain and subfolder addressing. In any case, both branches of the main domain are taken into account.
