Recently, A Conceptual Design Of A Residential Building In Beirut Has Been Published, The Facade Of Which Is Formed By A Mass Of Plants.

An architect named Paul Calustin has designed a high-rise residential project called Midori based on the shape of a ziggurat for the country of Beirut, which with its stepped form, is supposed to take on the role of a vertical garden by mounting plants on the metal panels of the exterior of the building.

This design, formed in the first place with the idea of ​​creating a tree structure, includes many aspects of the Mediterranean lifestyle and architecture by using natural light in the spaces, sunny environments, and vegetation.

If we do not consider the plants in the design of this building, we will find the glass panels as the dominant aspect of this structure. Still, the critical point is the existence of a unified volume of vegetation that can be seen from the floor of the building to its top to visually separate the exterior and interior of the building.

It is worth mentioning that for such an idea, a wide variety of plant species is considered; on the other hand, for its comfortable and stylish interior environment, various choices are available, from a small floor with one room to a large unit with three rooms.

The Midori building, which is 50 meters high, with its vertical plant landscape, will be a new alternative to the existing residential spaces in Beirut. Locating in the heart of the city, it will be possible to enjoy pleasant views such as the entire city, tourist areas, and mountains. Provides for residents.

Although the location of this building will be close to essential facilities such as entertainment places, schools, and museums, this complex also has unique facilities such as a sports hall and a children’s play hall.
