Focus on realism and originality; Announcing the winners of the 2022 natural landscape photography competition

The Winners Of The 2022 Landscape Photography Competition, All Selected With A Focus On Realism And Originality, Have Been Announced.

The Natural Landscape Photography Awards ( NLPA ), which focuses on recognizing realism in photography, has announced the winners of its 2022 competition. Nature photographer Brent Clark won the competition thanks to his dramatic landscape images.

The competition is now in its second year, created to promote the best landscape photography by digital and film photographers who value realism and originality in their work.

The Landscape Photography Competition has established an essential set of rules to prevent deceptive digital editing techniques that have become commonplace in landscape photography.

Eight judges received 10,700 photos from 1,179 photographers and 55 countries in this year’s event. Overall winner Brent Clark of Wisconsin said he was honored to receive the award:

Last year’s NLPA was the first photography contest I ever entered, as most games seem to reward a style of image I’d instead not create and have no idea about.

Clarke says that what attracted her to the NLPA was its respected judges and core values, not the awards and recognition that come with winning. His entry into this contest is to vote for what he wants to see more of in the landscape photography community: raw, inspiring, reality-based images rather than unnaturally manipulated images.
