Gabriel Dabasinsky lost his father when he was six years old. He was too young to realize he had lost her forever. He says growing up without a father at a young age has given him a different perspective.
The father is critical in the life of the child. When I photograph a father, I always think about how it feels to have a father. I try to combine love, bond, and connection between father and child in my pictures.
I can see their love through their eyes. Sometimes I see fear in the faces of those who have just become fathers, but I also see absolute pride and passion and condition. Missing someone has been a part of me all my life. I hope my children never have to experience it.
If you have a father, please hug him more firmly and do not be afraid to say that you need him in your life. These are precious memories that you should be aware of it.
I feel special when I think of you, Father. There is a place in my heart where only you belong to it.
