Endangered Manta Rays In A Beautiful And Fragile Underwater World

Daniel Sass Is A Photographer Who Is Interested In Underwater Photography For Purposes Such As Protecting Marine Life. This Time, He Has Gone To Thailand’s Endangered Table Fishes.

Daniel Sass is an award-winning underwater photographer who protects and defends the marine environment. Daniel wants to show people with his photos how fragile and beautiful the underwater world is.

Protecting the oceans is essential because we owe them every second we breathe. I used a Sony NEX7 camera in the underwater compartment with two external flashes to take these photos. These are considered the best images from a two-hour dive that the photographer did at a diving site in the Andaman Sea in Thailand.

The giant oceanic manta ray (Manta birostris) is an endangered species of the Mobulidae family and the most significant type of manta ray in the world, which can grow up to 7 meters and weigh about 1350 kg. Still, the average size usually observed is 4.5 meters. They are omnivores and consume large amounts of zooplankton in the form of shrimp and krill.

In the following, you can see Daniel’s pictures of these giant creatures.
