Detailed Images Of Nature Captured With A Macro Lens

Mark Andrew Thomas, Who Has Been A Photographer For 20 Years, Recently Bought A Macro Lens And Was Amazed By The Magical World That This Lens Opened Up For Him.

Mark Andrew Thomas has been shooting for almost two decades and recently bought a macro lens. When you look at a regular photo, you see it, admire it, and maybe even hang it on the wall in your home. But an image captured with a macro lens draws the viewer in and makes them feel like they are a part of that world rather than just an observer.

Everything from ants and spiders to flowers and plants (and the bees that pollinate them) take on a whole new dimension. Even a tiny mushroom like the one you’ll see below looks much more extensive and more detailed than it would in a photo taken with a different lens.

Thomas O says:

Buying this lens has opened up a whole new and wonderful world to me. The world is literally under our feet, but we rarely notice it. If I had known what I was missing, I would have bought a macro lens long ago.

A macro lens is a particular lens that allows you to photograph your subject from two and a half centimeters (one inch) away. Although you can get a tight shot of any issue with a telephoto lens, you have to stand further away and zoom.

Getting within an inch of the subject makes it appear larger, displaying much more detail and clarity. The next time you walk through a park or your yard, remember that there’s a beautiful world under your nose!
