Gabriel Isaac is a Swedish photographer who has attracted much attention with his new photo collection. His works in photography may have elementary forms, but they are very rich in ideas and creativity.

He mainly uses photography to express what is related to humans’ souls and inner feelings. This attitude made him use the surreal style to describe his purpose in his new photo collection, “Image of Depression.” He explains his photo collection as follows:

I am Gabriel Isaac. Over the past years, I have been working on a photo collection to show my audience the inner world of lonely and isolated people.

This collection was formed when I was suffering from depression. I started photography 12 years ago, and since that year, I have experienced depression in my personal life. I wanted my photos to reflect my experiences in this field.

Photography allowed me to form my inner world and step into a different one; I drove a world where I could create the story, not the other way around. After a few months, my depression intensified, Making me lose my passion and interest in pursuing my photography project.

Gabriel continues his conversation as follows:

In 2014, I left the world of depression and graduated from the University of San Francisco with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. After that, I turned to photography again, and with its help, I started exploring the world of depression. Everything I have created with photography reflects what I faced during my depression. In this way, many subjects inspired me, From psychology to surrealism and even the landscapes of the Scandinavian region where I grew up. Now we’re a location for my photos.

Gabriel Isaac explains the feeling he expects the audience to get from his photo collection: “This photo collection is very personal to me. It was more like a collection of therapeutic strategies for overcoming depression and the experiences I had gained from it. “I am still trying to maintain the sense of the unknown that I tried to have in my photos so that the audience can see a reflection of what they have experienced throughout their life through a deep action and reaction within themselves.”
