The Epson International Pano Competition, The World’s Largest Competition For Panoramic Photographers, Has Just Announced Its 2022 Winners.
Panoramic photography shows our world in an elongated format and impressive effect. Amateur and professional photographers from 98 countries submitted more than 4,100 images in this year’s Epson International Panorama Contest event.
Among these, Chinese photographer Jinyi received the title of freelance photographer in 2022. One of his most famous works in the competition is Vein, which shows a bird’s-eye view of the geological wonder of the Dushanzi Grand Canyon in Xinjiang, China. Ginny says:
For tens of millions of years, the melted water from the snow of the Tianshan glacier has formed this natural landscape under the movement of the earth’s crust and the erosion of wind and rain. This image is the result of 40 photos combined. I took these 90-degree aerial photos with my drone at 40 suitable points (five rows and eight columns) of the canyon to get a complete aerial view.
Nature is an artist and reminds me of an abstract painting.
Epson Australia runs the Epson International Pano Awards. Now in its 13th year, the competition continues to impress its competitors. Epson Australia CEO Craig Hackenberg said:
These awards connect photographers at all levels and from all walks of life through their creative passion. Every year we are amazed by the standard, quality, and a fantastic group of entries, and this year is no different. Epson is not only delighted to be a long-term sponsor of these awards but very proud.
