Top Entertainment Innovations You Need to Know

New technologies help us enjoy our leisure time more. Here are the top technology innovations of 2021 that optimize leisure time with family.

Many of the biggest blockbusters of 2021 will hit theaters simultaneously through streaming services such as HBOMax and Netflix. In the field of music, several of the biggest streaming services started offering space sound (space sound is a way to create 360-degree sound around the listener) that added a dramatic 3D effect to the songs. With a new portable speaker, Sony answered the incoming call, and of course, there are many new tools for creating content, such as the Shure-quality USB microphone, which is just as innovative and laudable.

Grand Prix Winner: A new way to pop up screenshots

Pop-up means sharpening the color of images, with the help of which we will see more attractive images on our TV screen. Since the advent of flat-screen TVs, most displays have relied on an LCD panel with color filters against the backlight to create the images we see.

The makers have done really impressive work with these initial settings. Still, the technology’s constant brilliance is not great for producing deep, substantial black colors that maximize contrast and really enhance the image.

This is because light can flow from the LCD panel where it should not. Hisense created a simple but innovative solution that adds another layer called the lighting control panel to solve this problem. In addition to the standard 4K LCD panel, a second 1080p LCD layer creates an additional barrier to prevent bright areas from leaking into the shadows. As a result, Hisense removed almost 40 times more contrast than a regular screen. This system has an even brighter advantage over more expensive OLED sets, which can sometimes burn the screen after heavy use.

New game console vs. next-generation game consoles

This adorable little console looks like a fat Game Boy. The Panic Lou-WiFi even has a monochrome, backlit display that goes back to the Nintendo handheld. The simplicity of Playdate sets it apart from the colorful influx of eyeballs and microtransactions that can make smartphone games look like smart games. This gadget uses built-in WiFi to download new games (two games a week). Panic plans to release a free SDK so anyone can create their own games. Some titles require a side crankshaft, adding a unique touch element to the experience.

A handheld computer for high-quality liberation game

This computer is similar to the Sega gamepad but can be played with like a powerful PC. Valve seems to be reminiscent of the Nintendo Switch with a 7-inch, 1280 x 800-pixel display that sits between two sets of controls. But in reality, the Stream Deck is a complete and portable gaming computer that can run even the most powerful Steam catalog titles. Valve partnered with PC maker AMD to create a custom CPU and GPU to meet the computing needs of AAA titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2 or Team Fortress 2. It also comes with 16GB of RAM and super-fast SSD memory (equivalent to what you’ll find on the latest generation of consoles).

Less backlight, much better image

Improved contrast ratio helps Samsung’s new TV technology innovations adapt to more expensive OLEDs. Instead of relying on light sources around the edges of the TV, screens with a feature known as local dimming arrays are known as LEDs on the back of the panel.

This screen has much better contrast control and shows better image detail. Samsung’s new-QLED line uses small technology to amplify this potential. Miniature versions of current diodes (approximately 40/1 the height of ordinary LEDs) do not require a lens on top of them to scatter light. This feature allows Samsung to collect more of them on its panel and bring them closer to the surface, creating a dense array with minimal light emission where it should not go. Neo QLED images and an AI-based image processor execute the 8K display in clear detail.

A wireless speaker built to produce 3D sound

The unique layout of this new wireless speaker helps maximize the sound’s spatial effect. The spatial sound adds a three-dimensional element to the music and simulates a real surround sound experience that seems to sit in front of the band.

Spatial sound is actually a way to create sound 360 degrees around the listener. 2021 was a big year for this kind of all-around sound, as it hit major streaming platforms, including Amazon Music, Tidal, and Apple Music. The Sony SRS-RA5000 Bluetooth Speaker drastically changes its internal components to support multi-dimensional recording in one device. Its seven speakers transmit notes and sounds throughout the room: three speakers transmit upward sound, three speakers transmit sound directly from the sides, and a woofer that responds only to lower acoustic frequencies and reproduces sounds with Low volume is used.

A small control room for high-quality streaming (live)

Live streaming content has come a long way from someone who holds a smartphone camera. The Blackmagic Switcher innovations give content creators a scaled-down version of a large playback control room. The board absorbs up to 8 channels of content via HDMI, allowing the director to adjust the levels like a professional studio and switch between signals. This board can be connected to the recorder via smartphone for live broadcast via cellular connection or output.

A lens for VR photography (camera shake reduction)

Shooting virtual or even 3D reality content usually requires two cameras to shoot from slightly different angles. Instead, Canon has integrated two lenses into one compartment. Each lens creates 12 image elements covering half of the image sensor in a full-frame camera.

The ultra-wide focal length allows for a 190-degree field of view, meaning the tuner can see slightly behind. When the movie goes through an editing tool like Adobe Premiere, viewers can get the full VR or 3D stereoscopic experience through a headset like Oculus Quest 2.

Remote control that eliminates AAAs

Many TV controls still rely on alkaline batteries, which in 2021 looks like an outdated time. So Samsung innovations developed a controller with a built-in solar panel on the back. Like your old high school calculator, this remote control can get all the power it needs from any indoor lighting.

In cases where you need a little extra power due to overuse or spending a lot of time in the dark, a USB-C port at the bottom provides another charging option. Samsung estimates that its plans to integrate these remote controls into its TVs will meet the need for approximately 99 million AAA cells over the next seven years.

A professional Iconic microphone usable for everyone

The Shure SM7B main microphone is one of the main accessories of podcasts and audio players due to its relatively compact size and excellent quality. Unfortunately, just connecting the XLR meant that the makers needed a mixing board and audio knowledge to use it.

The MV7 innovations have the same soundproofing recording components and pickup pattern as its professional sibling but can also be connected directly to a computer via USB. The Shure desktop application provides all the essential settings commonly found in a mixing board, including enhancement, mixing, and EQ limiting. (EQ is actually a refinement of frequencies, annoying additions, or separation of the audio band bands to understand the music’s sounds better. Its settings in this microphone have been simplified for beginners as well.)

Guitar amp that sits on a keychain

The Mustang Micro innovations is about the size of a regular car keychain and a guitar amplifier packed small enough to fit in a pocket. So The Wee connects directly to any electric guitar or bass and sends the riffs to a pair of wired headphones. Musicians can switch between 12 amp mimics and 12 effects from the Fender Mustang Amplifier Series. Connect it to a smartphone or other device via Bluetooth to play the sound with each song (without annoying the neighbors).

Turn your smartphone into a portable console.

Whether players choose to play live games (Xbox, PlayStation, or Steam), the Backbone controller helps deliver a consistent, high-end experience that a smartphone alone cannot achieve. This controller, which connects directly to the iPhone Lightning port, offers all the familiar buttons and analog bundles of a full console interface.
