Samsung Released The Dropship Feature With The Promise Of Easy File Sharing Between Different Platforms

Samsung Unveiled The Dropship Feature As A New Module Of The Good Lock Family Of Tools. This Feature Helps To Share Files Between Different Platforms More Easily.

Android devices use features like Nearby Share and other solutions for file sharing, but sending and receiving files between different platforms is a bit challenging. To solve this problem, Samsung has added a new Dropship module to its Good Lock tools.

Dropship is currently available in beta through the Galaxy Store. This tool offers file sharing between Android, iOS, and the web in an easier way, and thus it seems that the new solution uses a data-based approach instead of using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections; Therefore, if you are facing limitations in terms of connecting to mobile networks, this method may not be optimal.

Either way, you can create your link or QR code for file sharing via Dropship and set options like credit period for the link or code.

However, Samsung Dropship also has limitations. According to AndroidAuthority, this feature is currently only available on One UI 5. The said module is only available to South Korean users, so you will have to wait a little longer to use it until the Korean tech giant releases it to other parts of the world. In addition, only 5 GB of files can be sent per day through this feature, and for this purpose, you also need a Samsung account; Of course, the recipient of the files does not need to use a Samsung user account.

Due to the mentioned limitations, it doesn’t seem like Dropship will replace Nearby Share or Quick Share anytime soon; Of course, this new feature can be helpful when you need to share files between Android, computer, and iOS.
