Millions of Android users are exposed to many security risks daily. These cyber damages have shown themselves in different ways in Android phones. They can harm the owners of Android phones by stealing user data, locking information and asking for money, accessing bank account passwords and identity information, and similar tasks.

In this context, various cyber security institutions worldwide periodically review the applications in the Google Play store, announce the list of dangerous Android applications, and warn users about the possible dangers of using them.

Dangerous Android application

Malwarefox and SecneurX have recently updated their list of malicious applications and added new titles. Stay tuned with Gadget News to introduce these applications.

Dangerous Android applications from Malwarefox Institute

The Malwarefox Institute had previously warned about the lower security of the Android operating system compared to iOS against cyber risks and requested the users of this operating system to observe the essential security tips in this regard.

In its report, this institution announced that many Android users, regardless of the dangerous nature of some operating system applications, use them daily and provide them with all kinds of access.

In this way, hackers can easily take control of users’ devices and access their information through these applications.

This institute specifically mentions three new malware, Autolycos, Joker, and Harly, which seriously threaten the security of Android devices.

The agency describes the Joker malware as follows:

Joker is a malware that collects a complete list of contacts, text messages, and other details of victims.

This malware can also register in the premium (paid) services of various applications without the user’s permission, thereby harming the users financially!

On the other hand, this institution’s description of the Harly Trojan is as follows:

Harili Trojan also illegally extracts information from the user’s device, especially the details of his telecommunication network, and stores it in specific applications.

These applications then use special tricks to decode and even publish this information.

Next, the Malwarefox Institute announced its list of dangerous Android applications as follows:

Applications infected with Autolycos malware

Programs infected with Joker malware

Applications infected with Harly Trojan

Dangerous Android applications of SecneurX Institute

The Dutch security institute SecneurX has also published a new collection of these infected programs in continuation of its periodic lists of Android applications.

This list generally contains applications infected with Joker and Harley malware.

In addition to the names of infected and dangerous applications, the following list includes the terms of the malware and the approximate number of downloads from the Google Play store.

SecneurX claims that, except for the very new apps on this list, most of them have been removed from the Google Play Store. However, if these applications are installed on an Android phone, the danger will still be lurking for the phone user.
