This new format, called “Chat”, is like Instagram Stores, and users can participate at any time at Clubhouse.
Clubhouse, which managed to introduce itself as a new voice chat platform during the outbreak of the Coronavirus, has now announced in a new post that it intends to be “more like a messaging app” with changes in its group chats.
In a new post on the Clubhouse blog, the company introduced a new format, simply called ” Chat ,” which is basically a group Instagram story that users can participate in with their voice. Compared to current clubhouse audio rooms, a significant change to this format is that it is asynchronous, meaning users can drop in and speak at any time.

The Clubhouse application has also been completely redesigned according to this new format. Despite these changes, when you run the updated version of the app, you’ll be prompted to start a new chat and share it with others. Also, chats are now the first thing on the app’s home screen, and your friends’ chats will be displayed on this screen, just like Instagram stories, which you can contribute to.
Although you can still create the original audio rooms in this app, the process is now a bit more difficult. In fact, you should first tap on the microphone button on its home screen and start your audio room by selecting the “tap to go live” option. However, the clubhouse explains that live sound rooms will continue to be a central part of it.
Clubhouse’s popularity has waned considerably since its early days, especially since social network Twitter (now X) launched a similar feature called Spaces. While Spaces remains a key feature of Elon Musk’s X platform, Clubhouse appears to be pursuing other opportunities to encourage users to voice chat with their friends. The new version of this program is now available for iOS and Android .
