Clear Chrome cache (on Windows and phone)

Clearing the chrome cache helps speed it up. You can do this from the settings menu.

Many of us use the Internet for hours every day to send emails, browse social media, read the news, find specific information, etc.

All of these web browsings can fill your browser cache very quickly. If you’ve been using Google Chrome and have noticed its slowness, it may be time to clear its cache.

This article will cover how to clear cache in Chrome on desktop or mobile.

How to clear the cache in Windows

1. Open Google Chrome and click on the three vertical dots icon in the upper right corner of the toolbar, next to the address window.

2. In the drop-down menu, place your cursor over More Tools, and in the menu that appears, click Clear Browsing Data…

On the Clear browsing data page, you will see various options for data that can be deleted from Chrome, such as browsing history, download history, cookies, and other site data, saved images and files, passwords, and more. If you want to clear all the saved data from the browser, click on the Advanced tab and check the box next to the options. Then select an option in the Time range drop-down menu above – if you want to clear everything, select All time.

4. Once you have selected the time range and types of data you want to delete, click Clear data.

How to clear the cache on the mobile

Clear method on iPhone

1. Open the Chrome app on your phone.

2. On the browser home screen, tap the three horizontal dots icon in the lower right corner and select History in the menu that appears.

3. At the bottom of the History page, tap Clear Browsing Data…

4. On the Clear Browsing Data screen, tap the options on the screen to select the type of data you want to delete – a checkmark appears next to the selected items. You can clear the browsing history, download history, cookies, other site data, saved images and files, passwords, etc. Select All time if you want to clear everything.

5. Once you have selected the time range and type of data you want to delete, tap Clear Browsing Data at the bottom of the page. In the window that appears, press Clear Browsing Data again to confirm.

How to Clear in Android

1. Open the Chrome app on your Android device.

2. In the upper right corner of the application screen, tap the More icon and click History in the window that appears

3. On the History page, tap ar Clear Browsing Data. Above.

4. On the Clear Browsing Data screen, tap the box next to each option on the screen to select the data you want to delete. You can clear the browsing history, download history, cookies, other site data, saved images and files, passwords, etc. Then select an option in the Time range section. Select All time if you want to clear everything.

5. Once you have selected the time range and data types you want to delete, tap Clear data at the bottom of the page.
