Hybrid Creatures, The world is full of all kinds of lovely, scary, and magnificent animals and creatures. Some of these animals are weirder than others, primarily due to the different appearance that our eyes are less accustomed to seeing.

Despite all the wonders of the animal world and even the knowledge of the strangest animals in the world, DesignCrowd has creatively created a funny yet scary world from a combination of different and irrelevant animals that does not meet our usual expectations at all.

This year, in the Chimaera and Animal Crossbreed competitions, Photoshop artists presented interesting and different works that were unique. Below you will see some pictures of these hybrid animals. One of the designers participating in this competition, who has created a combination of insects and horses, talks about himself and how he started his work in digital art and the experience of participating in the DesignCrowd Photoshop competitions:

I have loved art and creativity since childhood.

From then on, I learned how to use a computer and learned to paint with Paint, then Corel Painter, and finally Photoshop. After that, I started 3D modeling. Of course, I learned a lot during this time, made friends, had fun, and even made some money doing some jobs.

The artist said about the idea of ​​a unique combination of his animals:

I got the general idea from the theme of the race, and then when I looked at the reference photos, the concept of ​​combining horses and locusts came to my mind. So I cut off the locust’s body parts and put them on the horse. Finally, I got help from other insect body parts to add more detail.

At the moment, I do not spend as much time doing Photoshop as before. However, whenever I have time, I usually pursue 3D modeling. Artists often turn to three-dimensional modeling after digital art. Three-dimensional modeling brings a lot of chances and job opportunities for the artist.
