5 Features Of Android Phones That Apple Fans Wish To Have In The Next iPhone

Although Apple Is One Of The Strongest Phone Manufacturers In The World, There Are Android Features That Apple Fans Wish Would Be Added To The iPhone.

Surprisingly, Apple has implemented the most significant changes to a series of smartphones in the iPhone 15. In Pro models, we see hardware updates and new camera features. In addition, Apple has brought games with console-level graphics, such as Resident Evil 4, to its phones, which looks very attractive. Because iPhones follow a fundamental trend, the iPhone 15 makes the most coherent argument in several generations of Apple phones.

However, if you take a quick look at the competitors, you will notice that Apple is lagging in most areas except for the superiority of the processor. Expensive iPhones still lag in camera hardware innovation. They do not use features such as displays with a high refresh rate. They’re also lazy regarding charging, as Apple takes a cautious approach to any dramatic changes. But we can always hope for it.

iPhone fans are interested in some features of Android phones.

The 2024 iPhones have not been released yet, and we must wait for them until the fall of next year. So, unfortunately, we don’t have any news about them at the moment. However, we hope to see several changes in the next wave of Apple phones. Here, we will check out the Android features that Apple fans wish would be added to the iPhone.

Faster wired charging

Despite being one of the biggest competitors in the smartphone industry, Apple has yet to come up with any significant innovations in charging. Take the iPhone 15 Pro Max, for example, which only allows for 20W wired charging and 15W MagSafe wireless charging, limiting Qi charging to just 7.5W. Compared to the iPhone 15, the OnePlus 12 Android phone supports 100W fast wired and 50W wireless charging.

Fast charging of Android phones

In the best case, Apple only takes 30 minutes to charge from half to complete, which takes only 26 minutes on the OnePlus phone. However, OnePlus isn’t the fastest phone out there right now. A few years ago, Xiaomi released a phone with a 120-watt charging capability, which was among the mid-range and economical devices. Later, the iOoo phone reached the limit of 200 watts, and in the meantime, the Realme GT 3 phone was released with the ability to charge 240 watts.

Super fast charging also has its drawbacks. Hence, smartphone manufacturers have significantly developed safety checks related to heat, chemical degradation, and voltage drop. However, the biggest brands in the mobile industry, including Apple, Google, and Samsung, continue to make it safe. Although all users have claimed longevity, there is still not enough information to definitively prove the complete safety of ultra-fast charging.

However, Apple does not need to set a new record in this field. Instead, he has to step in this direction and improve himself. If it supports 40- or 50-watt wired charging, iPhone users will have more fun. After all, it doesn’t matter how long it takes to charge the phone.

Reverse wireless charging

Reverse wireless charging is one of the features that Apple fans are keen to see in the next iPhone. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra phone supports this charging feature, and if you have this phone, you don’t need to carry a Lightning cable. Reverse wireless charging allows us to quickly charge by placing the iPhone on the glass body of this Samsung flagship.

Reverse wireless charging only on Android phones.

For example, one user wrote that he sometimes charges his Galaxy Buds Pro and even AirPods Pro just by placing them on the back of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This makes him comfortable, and he no longer has to carry the extra charger and cable. This method is efficient and convenient for those whose accessories support wireless charging.

Even though this method is one of the most secure forms of wireless charging hardware, which relies on a magnetic ring to transfer power to create a safe position between two surfaces, Apple does not support this feature.

In early 2023, a 9to5Ma report claimed that Apple was close to introducing reverse wireless charging in the iPhone 14 series, but the company failed to do so by the deadline. The engineering team is trying to bring this feature to new iPhones, but it hasn’t happened yet. However, we hope to see reverse wireless charging in the iPhone 16 series in 2024.

A new level of camera zoom

One of iPhone users’ most repeated requests over the years is upgrading the camera zoom. Apple provided exactly this demand with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This phone is equipped with a 12-megapixel telephoto camera and 5x optical zoom using the new tetra prism technology and integrating the autofocus module with the sensor-shift stabilization platform.

Android phones zoom better than iPhones

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra uses a 10-megapixel periscope camera that offers 10x optical zoom and uses optical zoom stabilization technology to prevent blurring of photos due to hand movements. This Samsung flagship offers a 100x digital zoom range, which can produce stunning results. Some believe digital zoom is useless when it goes beyond 20-30%. However, with the Pixel 8 Pro, Google showed that it can take high-quality zoom photos with an artificial intelligence-based pixel detection system.

Given Apple’s penchant for slow and steady progress, it’s doubtful that we’ll see a new level of camera zoom in the iPhone 16. According to the prediction of an analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo, in 2024, Apple will put a tetraprism zoom camera on both Pro models. This reduces the chances of proper periscope-style zooming in the next-generation iPhones.

However, the folding lens system could be a good option if Apple wants to go beyond the 5x zoom range and enter the realm of phones like the S23 Ultra with 10x optical zoom output. Of course, shortly, Apple will provide zoom features only in Pro models, and the standard models will be limited to the dual camera system.

Global 120 Hz display

This is another feature that iPhone fans have been waiting for for years, and it has become essential for them. Apple has provided this feature in its $1,000 phone, and users must spend $1,000 to have an iPhone with such a screen. But if you look at Android phones, you can easily buy phones for less than $200 with 90 or 120 Hz displays. Interestingly, Apple only uses displays with a high refresh rate in its Pro models.

There is also a 120 Hz display in budget Android phones.

It seems that Apple wants to make a difference between the standard phones and the Pro models, but this logic does not hold much value. Aside from the value aspect, a high refresh rate screen is no longer an excellent phone feature. This feature has become necessary, and any smartphone whose screen refresh rate reaches the limit of 90 Hz is considered a low-end phone.

However, users want all iPhones to have 120Hz displays. Apple has made great strides in this direction over the years using silicon technology. For example, games with console-level graphics, like Resident Evil Village, can be run on the iPhone 15 Pro. Thanks to Apple’s efforts, more games such as Resident Evil 4, Death Stranding, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released soon. It seems that Apple will use 90 or 120 Hz displays in its phones in the future so that its users can enjoy playing FPS games on their phones.

Better heat management

With the release of the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple made significant hardware changes, including removing stainless steel and using titanium. Apple has used a thermo-mechanical process in this phone where titanium strips surround the aluminum base. The company claims that it has used a non-fusion welding technique to fuse the two metals and believes this method is lighter, stronger, and more effective at dissipating heat. However, it seems the latter did not materialize as Apple had hoped.

Immediately after the phones entered the market, many users complained about overheating. Apple blames unoptimized apps, but surprisingly, apps without games cause such a problem. Unfortunately, even after the release of the corrective update, the problem persisted.

We hope that Apple has better thermal management in the iPhone 16 series. In contrast, Samsung took essential steps in its Galaxy S23 series and placed a much larger vapor chamber cooling system inside its phones, increasing thermal efficiency twice. iPhones can run heavy games and even high-resolution video recording and often use measures such as dimming the display. We hope that Apple will perform better in the thermal system of the 2024 iPhones, especially in the Pro models.
